Deepak Ram's fantastic track "Kitu" is taken from the 2 CD album "Buddha Bar - Dinner (Vol. 1)", released by label Chall 'O'Music (Edel) in 2003 resp. from Deepak Ram's album "Flute For Thought" (1998). Deepak Ram is a great master of the wooden Indian flute called "Bansuri". He performs it masterfully on "Kitu". Listen & Enjoy it. His first love is north Indian classical music. He began his formal training in bansuri and tabla in South Africa in 1975, and later in India. His versatility is apparent in his numerous collaborations with e.g. Tunisian oud player and vocalist Dhafer Yousseff. He has seven solo albums to his credit and as a session musician can be heard on over 25 albums. Through the years, Deepak has won awards in South Africa for Best Instrumental Album, Best Male Artist, and Best Instrumental Album.
