Ok, so it looks like I have to switch up how I do my Sevendust cover videos. Warner Music Group is being a huge pain and deleting my cover videos!!! So I've decided to switch up the format and start recording EVERYTHING. By not having the original track in my videos, I'm hoping it will keep me under the radar enough to keep doing what I do. Driven was one of the two videos that were deleted, so I figured this was a good song to test this new direction. This video is just a proof of concept, so feedback on how much you like it and how to improve the format would be greatly appreciated. And please vote for what song from Cold Day Memory you want me to cover first, aside from Forever Dead of course. The guitar is a Dean Hardtail Select. I switched out the stock bridge pickup for a Dimarzio Super Distortion. I now play through a Randall RM100 head going into a Mesa Boogie 2x12 cabinet. The Randall's modules are the Blackface for my clean channel, the Ultra for my main distortion channel, and the Ultra XL for my solo channel. The amp is mic'd with a Shure SM57 dynamic microphone. The bass is a cheap Yamaha running through a Line6 PODxt Live. The drums were programed on my computer via Drumsite. Obviously I don't have the voice of Lajon, so I try to make it my own.
