World Social Forum Jim Delahunrty 29/10/08 In 2001 thousands of people from all parts of the world gathered in Porto Alegre, Brazil, to talk about the problems that big business and its globalisation was bringing to people everywhere. Arising from the forum came a determination to continue discussions by people throughout the world, to set up a vision of life after capitalism. The forum decided its motto must be A New World is Possible. At no time in the past has it been so urgent for people to continue their discussions, The system is collapsing, and we know who will bear the cost if the establishment has a free hand in deciding our fate. 2009 must see people renew their efforts in activities like the World Social Forum we need a Forum to be held here. If we dont discuss action we know who will decide.
